Welcome to Reception

Farm on Wheels Christmas Visit to EYFS

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are so proud of how well the children have settled into Coleham School and the progress they have made in a such a short space of time.  The children are starting to rehearse for the KS1 Nativity performances.  We like to make Christmas at Coleham a really special time for the children and so we have arranged a special nativity visit.  Our friends from Farm on Wheels will be visiting on Monday 11th December and bringing with them the animals from the nativity story (a Donkey, lamb, calf and Turkey!) What better way to bring the nativity story to life!

In order to cover the cost of this event, we kindly ask that parents contribute the amount of £4.50 per child.  Payment is to be made via your child’s Arbor account prior to the day.

We are really looking forward to this extra special Christmas visitor.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Harris

Assistant Head

EYFS Leader

Bulletin EYFS Aut 2023

Arrival & Collection

All children are expected to arrive on site between 8:40 and 8:50 so they can be in school for 8:50am.

Arrival: Children to enter classrooms independently on arrival via their classrooms garden gate, Miss Harris & Miss Melville will greet them outside.  The field gate will be open for ease but you may access school through any gate.

Collection: Robust collection arrangements for EYFS children.

EYFS Children Collection Arrangements

We require a person with parental responsibility to collect their child or inform us each time that a different person is due to collect their children.

For set childcare arrangements families may have, they can provide the details of who will be collecting their child each day on a proforma which staff will observe when releasing the children.  For any other pick up, where parents are not collecting, we require parents to inform us daily via a message to the adult outside in the morning or a telephone call to the school office.  We will not release children without this parental permission even if staff and children know the family members that have arrived.  We ask parents to explain this procedure to family members so they may wait patiently, if we need to contact the parents before releasing the child.
