Our Ethos
Coleham School embraces children as individuals. By recognising and valuing children’s particular strengths and talents, we seek to encourage their full potential. We work hard to celebrate all successes, whenever and wherever they occur, no matter how big or small.
Children are encouraged to become well-rounded and sociable. It’s important to us that all our children believe in themselves and are both confident and resilient.
We draw upon our well-established local and school community, to enrich the curriculum and promote mutual respect and a strong moral ethos in every child.
Our School Values
The School Council Representatives came up with our School Values and have linked each value to a year group to give children ‘ownership’ of these throughout the school.

A further value which we feel is the golden thread running through the whole school and our curriculum is Creativity.
Strategic Objectives
- To further develop our school, driving standards forward, with the aspiration of becoming outstanding.
- To retain our own autonomy and uniqueness whilst working collaboratively with other schools, both inside and outside of the Trust, to further develop our own practice and to share the success of our school with other schools.
- To develop further opportunities for staff development and progression, which supports the quality of teaching and learning, positively influencing school performance now and into the future.
- To develop the capacity and competency of Governance in our school to drive school improvement.
