As part of this term’s geography curriculum on the changing landscape of Shrewsbury, we have arranged for Year 5 to visit Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings on Wednesday 8th July.
- Leopards will visit in the morning, leaving shortly after registration and returning at approximately 1:00pm. They will stop at the weir to eat their packed lunch.
- Lions will leave school at around 11:30am and return at approximately 2:30pm, stopping at the weir for a picnic lunch on the way to the Flaxmill.
Pupils should come to school wearing their full, smart Coleham PE kit, as Lions class has PE in the morning. As both classes will be walking to and from the venue, please ensure your child wears comfortable footwear (trainers are recommended) and brings a lightweight coat and/or sunhat, depending on the weather. No spending money is required.
Your child will need to bring a healthy packed lunch and plenty to drink. Pupils eligible for free school meals will be provided with a packed lunch by our school meals provider before departure. The packed lunch will include a sandwich, piece of fruit, packet of crisps and cake.
There is no cost for this trip, as the visit to the Flaxmill is self-guided and entry is free.
