Year 5 Visit to RAF Cosford

Year 5 Visit to RAF Cosford – Friday 9^th October

As an introduction to next half term’s curriculum work on our topic of Space, we have arranged for Year 5 to visit the RAF Museum, on Friday 9^th October.

Whilst there we will be very busy making and firing paper rockets, building and programming a Mars Rover with LEGO robotics, junk modelling satellites from recycled materials and watching a presentation about the problem of space junk and space sustainability.

We will be leaving school at 9.00am, shortly after morning registration, and return around 3pm.

Your child will need to bring a packed lunch on the day to eat whilst at the museum. Those pupils entitled to free school meals will be given a packed lunch by our school meals provider. This will include a sandwich of your choice, a piece of fruit, a packet of crisps and a cake. Please also ensure that they wear school uniform and have a lightweight/waterproof coat with them. No spending money is required.

The cost of the trip is £7.60.  Payment for this trip should be made via your child’s Arbor account prior to the date of the trip.
