Last term, as part of our English learning on letters of complaint, we wrote to Shrewsbury MP Julia Buckley to express our concerns about a number of issues in our town including pollution in the River Severn, homelessness, traffic, littering and graffiti.
Amazing, she replied! Her team sent a letter to every child, personally addressed to them by Julia herself, thanking the children for their engagement with local issues and outlining what she is doing to help tackle them.
We love that the pupils are so enthusiastic about making positive change and being responsible, caring citizens.
