This term, we are focusing on one of our most important school rules and values: RESPECT. In assembly on Monday we talked about what respect is, what it means and why it’s important. We agreed that respect means to think about the feelings of others, understanding our impact on others, listening to our grown ups, being polite to others and looking after ourselves, others and the things around us.
We have a lot of incredibly respectful children in our school! We also want to highlight those children as ambassadors to everyone as good role models – so we have launched our RESPECT Ambassadors across school this week!
Children are able to nominate others they feel demonstrate respectful behaviour and school staff can also nominate children. Each Monday assembly, I will hand out certificates and badges to those children. Badges will hopefully be worn with pride and act as a signal to others, showing everyone what respect is!
Today we gave out the first badges: 1 in each class and had a special Headteacher’s Teatime. Well done to our first set of ambassadors: Rory, Jackson, Ada, Milo, Arthur J, Arthur T, Sam, Penny, Max, Bobby, Henry, Charlie, Nel and Wilfie!
