Headteacher Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week has been a significant one for our Year 6 pupils as they completed their SATs tests. I am incredibly proud to share that they demonstrated incredible resilience and a can-do attitude throughout the process. Despite feeling the pressure, they faced the challenge head-on and did it anyway. Their determination and hard work have shown them to be a resilient bunch, and they should be very proud of themselves.

It was also lovely to see the EYFS children succeeding with their balance bike sessions. They had so much fun and learned a lot about their own confidence along the way.

A huge congratulations must go to the year 4 boys who lifted the U9s Shropshire County Cup last Saturday.  An excellent performance from all the boys, showing fantastic teamwork.  Well done, boys!

It’s the last week of the (very short) half-term next week, and we are looking forward to ending it with a song for you all on the playground at 3pm on Friday 23rd. The whole school will be on the KS2 middle playground, led by Mrs Porrett, to sing a song about belonging for you all to celebrate our Trust’s new Belonging Framework.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Have a wonderful weekend!

Best regards,

Tom Larkham

Plant & Craft Fair 2025

Plant & Craft Fair 2025 you were wonderful 🌞🌞🌞🪴🌿🏵 The most glorious of days with glorious people. We are so, so proud of all our incredible children who participated in competitions for @bellevueartsfestival and created their own businesses to run stalls. Your products, presentation and entrepreneurial ideas blew us away! Thank you to all the many people who supported, participated, and got involved! Happy faces everywhere connecting in the sunshine 😀😀😀 That’s what our school is all about Caring, Community and Creativity! Keeping things local, authentic and empowering the children every step of the way!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for being part of our very special community ❤️❤️❤️

Plant & Craft Fair 2025 Competitions

Thank you to all the children for their creative entries for the Plant & Craft Fair 2025 Competitions. You left the Belle Vue Arts Festival Judges with a very tough job!  You all did a great job!! This year’s theme was ‘movement’ and the judges loved seeing your interpretation.

Plant & Craft Entrepreneurs!

Wow, the children certainly took over the Plant & Craft Fair this year with their fantastic range of crafts, beauty, jewellery and pet treats! Gorgeous merchandise, unique little businesses, thoughtful packaging and display and lovely interactions with customers 🥰🥰 The special edition Coleham Chronicle sold out very quickly! We are so proud of all the children who took part, your ambition, organisation and teamwork are great skills for your future. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. The children donated their profits to school or charities close to their heart including Severn Hospice, Macmillan Cancer and Bowel Cancer UK ❤️

U9 Shropshire County Football Winners! ⚽🏆

We couldn’t be prouder of some of our incredible U9 boys for being crowned Shropshire County Football Champions! The boys showed outstanding team spirit, worked brilliantly together, and played some fantastic football throughout the competition.

After a win against Gobowen in the semi-finals, the team went on to represent Coleham in the county finals at Shifnal Town Football Club on Saturday. Despite going 1–0 down, their determination never wavered. A well-deserved equaliser just 20 seconds before half-time sparked a second-half comeback, with the boys finishing strong to win 4–1!

An amazing achievement and a true display of teamwork, resilience, and passion. Every single player should feel incredibly proud – well done, boys!

We’d also like to say a big thank you to Mr Peters, who kindly volunteered his time to support coaching the team alongside Miss Lewis. Your help has been greatly appreciated.

The Boy with Flowers in his Hair

Year 2 have been exploring the picture book The Boy with Flowers in his hair, a story about breaking social norms, acceptance and belonging and produced this beautiful art work for our Gallery. Thank you Year 2 for making us smile every time we pass through the gallery.

Balanceability

Foxes and Badgers have had the most lovely time completing their Balanceability cycling in the sunshine this week!  Helping children to learn to ride a bike is a life skill and we hope this encourages children and families to cycle to and from school.
