Dear Parents & Carers, 
What a good week it has been in school! Our children have worked hard, been wonderfully kind to one another, and embraced every opportunity with smiles and resilience. A particular highlight was hearing our choir sing so beautifully both in school and at Hickory’s; they represented us with such joy, and we are very proud of them. Thank you to Mrs Porrett for guiding them, and to families who came along to listen and encourage.
An extra THANK YOU to the team at Hickory’s for welcoming our singers and creating such a warm, festive atmosphere. Moments like these remind us what partnership between school, families and local businesses can achieve; they give our children the confidence to perform and to shine.
I also want to recognise the amazing efforts of Miss Lewis for organising our Rudolph Run on Wednesday. Thanks to her hard work and the enthusiasm of our pupils, we have raised £711 for Severn Hospice. Severn Hospice provides care across our county, and the compassion shown by their teams is inspiring; every pound raised helps fund nurses, family support, and vital equipment. A huge well done and thank you to everyone who took part.
A special mention must go to Mrs Stewart for her fantastic Zumba skills! She got the whole school jumping and dancing on the playground!
Looking ahead, I am very much looking forward to our two nativities next week – always a magical moment in the school year (the TRUE start of Christmas!) and I hope to see you all there. Holy Trinity Church very kindly does not charge us for the use of the building, but would appreciate donations on the day towards the heating; last year, keeping the church warm for the week cost over £1,200. If you are able to contribute, it would be gratefully received. Please wrap up warmly, arrive in good time, and be mindful of prams and buggies inside the aisles so that everyone can see and enjoy the performances.
Finally, some polite reminders for the end of the school day. Please help to encourage your children to not get out equipment; throw or kick balls around the playgrounds; or ride scooters/bikes on the playgrounds. There have been a number of parents and young children unexpectedly hit by stray balls in the past few weeks and we want to keep the school site safe for all. In addition, please remember that the staff car park cannot be used for drop off and pick up. Thank you for your continued cooperation.
