Our special group of Year 4 children this week opened Restaurant El Coleham Mexicana 🎉 and fed a hall full of families using surplus food! In just 90 minutes they made Mexican bean stew with lime mayonnaise , cucumber, coriander & lime salsa and French bread pizzas .
That’s a wrap for our Friday Night Dinner project for 2026! This project should be nationwide in every school across the country because what it achieves in 2 hours is extraordinary. Learning about hospitality & careers, building skills, independence & confidence, teamwork, boosting self‑esteem & confidence and bringing a community together to share food and celebrate these amazing children. It brings a tear to our eyes every time we open the restaurant doors. There was so much love and pride in the room.
