London Fashion Week could learn a thing or two from Year 5!
We are so proud of Year 5 for pushing outside their comfort zone and pulling off the Eco Fashion Show for their parents this evening! 🪩
It was a true collaboration. Fashion Club customised school uniform into new garments (as they so often end up in landfill!) and created ball gowns from rubbish and Sewing Club wowed us with their ‘Sashiko’ Kimono 🎎 Every child had a part to play.
Our Disco and Western runways were put together from the pupils wardrobes sending us the message to ‘style up the clothes we already own’.
We’ve learnt about fast fashion and the impact on the environment, sustainability, design, the ancient Japanese needlecraft of Sashiko that decorates our clothes mending them with love ❤️ and most of all the confidence to speak in public and perform!
