Headteacher Message
Dear Parents & Carers,
What another incredible week we’ve had at school! The weeks are flying by and this week has been full of exciting things…
Lots of sporting events were held this week with nearly 30 children taking part in sports fixtures including hockey, netball and football. Thank you to Miss Lewis and Mr Halford for working hard to make sure as many children as possible are able to take part and enjoy sport!
Well done as well to Josie and Juliet who raised lots of cash for Red Nose Day last Friday, selling their home-made badges. They sold out very quickly! Excellent enterprise from those Year 4s and for a great cause, too!
There is still so much to look forward to as we enter the final two weeks of the Spring Term (I know – where is the time going!?)
Have a lovely weekend, everyone!

A letter from Greenpeace

One of the best things about working with young children is inspiring their young minds. As teachers in EYFS we have loved sharing the children’s excitement and motivation to look after our planet this term.
A few weeks back we decided to write our own letters to Greenpeace, inspired by the story Dear Greenpeace.
Imagine how excited the children were to receive a letter back from them. I wonder who we can write to next?
EYFS visit The Dingle
The children in EYFS have been exploring local areas such as The Dingle to learn more about plants, flowers and signs of spring. What a great location for some observational art!
Just Gotta Dance Video
We hope you enjoy watching the video of Miss Cox’s dancers at Theatre Severn recently:
Brilliant Bodies Workshop
Year 3 had a visit from the school nurse to deliver a Brilliant Bodies workshop. We learnt about famous people who have become successful despite difficulties or disabilities they have faced. We also talked about nutrition, healthy diets and a positive mind.
Netball Success! 🏆
A big well done to this fantastic netball team for securing second place in a tournament that has been running throughout the year at the Sports Village! The team has shown incredible dedication, teamwork, and skill, improving week by week and demonstrating great sportsmanship. Their hard work and determination have truly paid off, and they looked amazing together as a team. Well done, everyone!

Dolphins Art installation boxes
A huge thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers for supporting our Year 4 Art Installation Box afternoon! The children have been learning all about the artist Yayoi Kusama and have been inspired by her famous polka dot designs to create their own unique installation boxes. Their creativity and imagination truly shone through, and we couldn’t have done it without your help. Thank you for making the afternoon such a success! Imagine living in these worlds!
Thank you Parents!
Hockey Engagement Event
Well done to this fantastic group of Year 3 children who took part in a hockey engagement event at Shrewsbury Sports Village! We took two teams, and both performed brilliantly, showing great enthusiasm and determination. The children embraced the opportunity to learn new skills, develop their understanding of the sport, and put their learning into practice through mini-games. It was wonderful to see their teamwork and sportsmanship on display. Well done, everyone!

Engagement Girls Football Event
A fantastic event for this group of Year 5 girls as they proudly represented Coleham in an engagement football tournament. Their team spirit was outstanding, showing incredible support for one another while simply enjoying the game. Playing against other schools, they embraced the fun of football without the pressure – just pure enjoyment and sportsmanship!
