Open Gardens

  • We’ll be holding a historic open day for the Belle Vue Arts Festival popular ‘Open Gardens’ trail.

Coleham School circa 1900 is rich in history and our grounds once belonged to the Limes estate. Visitors on the open gardens trail can explore our Victorian Coach House Museum, which is housed in the old Coachman’s living quarters.  You can browse our school archives of local history and survived artefacts displayed in our museum.  Our beautiful conservation area is a wildlife habitat home to badgers , foxes and newts and listed folly which originates from St Mary’s Church at Battlefield.  Our mini historians will love to show you around.

We will also have local Archaeologists on site to chat too.  If you have have any interesting finds from your garden then please bring them along to show us!
