SEND Teaching Assistant

25 hours Mon to Fri, 8:40am to 2:00pm

Grade 5/6 £9.74-£10.97 per hour,

Fixed term for 12 months, to start September 2019

We are looking for an exceptional, individual who will work collaboratively with our outstanding team to provide one to one support for a child with an EHCP.

A Teaching Assistant qualification is not essential, however experience of working with children in a nursery, school, care or youth setting is required.

The ideal candidate will have had previous experience with children, and more specifically children with additional needs, including children on the Autistic spectrum. 

We can offer you:

  • support from our lovely Pastoral Care Team and classroom Teaching Assistant who will support the rest of the children within the class, you will be working;

We are looking for someone:

  • with relevant experience of supporting children who have been identified with having additional special educational needs;
  • knowledge and understanding of children who have social, emotional and mental health needs;
  • who can communicate effectively and build strong positive relationships with children and families;
  • with a compassionate and caring nature;
  • solution focused, able to adapt their approach to managing individual needs and willing to go above and beyond for the child and family they are supporting.
